So a lot of things happened that made us (my group) dislike Stony Brook more by the day. My friend got screwed over by the Writing department which deemed him unworthy of WRT 102 (the highest level writing course) even though the rules clearly stated that a combined score of 1200 or higher on the Reading+Writing part guarantees a spot in 102 class. Whats even worse is that he is thrown into the ESL class, which is for people who just arrived to this country, which he clearly isn't. So the whole situation is a losing battle because he is powerless against the contradicting system, which pretty much says that since he put chinese as his first language, he is ESL, yet he is also WRT 102 status due to his SAT score.
The other part is how much I utterly hate this place. I hate this place. I'm not going to get into why or how it sucks, you can catch that on my other document.
