Pokemon X & Y, the 6th generation of the game was released on
October 12th globally. I’ve played the first and second and half of the third
generations all on GBA emulators on the PC. I stopped playing the 4th and 5th
generations because they switched over to the NDS. NDS emulators were notorious
for not working properly so I didn’t get into it. Lo and behold, the 6th
generation comes out on a brand new console, the 3DS. The new game was heavily
promoted and done well. The game bridges the large disconnect between the kids
from my generation and the current generation of kids. For example, the cartoon
show is still on air but it mainly appeals to the kids growing up now. They
don’t know anything about the original series. X & Y is a clever way to
pull back kids from the 90s because it not only includes a ton of the old
species, but you also get to pick a Kanto starter in the beginning of the game.
How awesome is that? The graphics of the game really captures the life and
worldly details of the Pokemon universe. I bought the game on launch date. The
3DS cost $220 with tax. The game was only $40. I also picked up a brand new
copy of Soul Silver at Toysrus for $40. It was a steal because a brand new copy
of SS online was being sold at $70-80. What’s amazing with technology these
days is that you can connect to WiFi and trade/battle with people all over the
world. In the 90s, we could only trade and battle using link cables. Those
things don’t even exist anymore. What’s cool is that a ton of people I know
have picked up the game, so it’s pretty exciting.

American shows are a disappointment
I seriously hate American created shows with a passion. These people always cancel good shows to make way for more profitable shows. Just because a well written show attracts more adult audiences and sell less toys, they axe it. The number one determinant of whether or not a show gets renewed is the amount of toys they can sell.
Young Justice:
Seasons 1-2 were constantly getting fucked over by the producers throughout the time span of two years. The series finale ended this year. I was really impressed by the script and cast of the show because it was linear and the plot was captivating. Every episode had a point and built story progression. The show ended with a cliffhanger--the type you would get to set up a potential third season if it was to be renewed. Too bad DC Nation on Cartoon Network decided to kill the show for...
Teen Titans Go!
I don't even want to watch this shit. This is clearly aimed at for 5 year olds and looks like they spent less than 10 minutes to make this. Just compare the quality between YJ and TTG. I get what they were trying to do, make the show funny, silly, more likable to kids. But by doing so it also pissed off a ton of mature audiences as well because this show is gutter trash. It looks like the same guy who made Jimmy Neutron, another unfunny show, made this thing. Like I said before, I'm not even going to watch this. I heard they sell a lot of toys from this though.
Transformers Prime
After an amazing season 1 and 2, season 3 got shafted by producers. Season 3 was called "Beast Hunters" and was largely misleading. I thought the entire season was going to be about introducing more primal decepticons but... nope. This season was only 13 episodes long and there were a ton of plot holes. For example, they showed this scene with Arachnid creating zombies. WTF happened to that? They also *spoilers* killed Megatron in episode 13. It was the worst possible ending. He doesn't even put up a fight. He just got snuck up on and died. What the fuck. Another great show with good plot, only to be butchered with 13 episodes and show writers had to wrap it up with some bullshit.

2013
Wait what? It's been a year since I last posted here? I'm really haven't been active in terms of writing. It seems like a lot of crap has happened since my last post so I'll just highlight some of it.
March-April: Lost my job because of some stuff that was out of my control, was looking for work and was a depressing time where I did almost nothing. I also tried to push my relationship with this girl but I failed miserably.
June: Finally found a full time job and getting my life back together.
