This past Wednesday was supposed to be the nastiest snow storm in a while. The blizzard traveled all the way from X location (Washington DC). My Pittsburgh friend had no school for three days because the storm was severe. The night before the blizzard, Bloomberg announced that all NYC public schools will close on the following day. I found that amusing because it was unprecedented. Never before did schools close before a single snowflake dropped onto the ground. And yet, the next day when I looked out the window, the "blizzard" was a letdown. It was barely anything to fret over and schools were all closed. In fact it was raining half the time.
