Planet Hulk (2010)

******SPOILER ALERT******

Planet Hulk (2010)

Synopsis

Illuminati decides the Hulk is far too dangerous to stay on Earth so they send him into space for a planet with no life forms. Hulk breaks the ship and it travels off course into the planet Sakaar. There, he is held prisoner and has to fight with other captives in gladiator matches in order to gain their freedom. The planet is ruled by a dictator and the prophecies say that a savior will come forth to relinquish the planet from the dictator's grasp. That savior is our protagonist, the Hulk.

HULK SMASH!

Apparently the Hulk bleeds green vegetable juice.

The last boss is just a man in a robot armor.

Thoughts

The plot was captivating. Hulk is sent away to another planet and we are eager to see how he will deal with the natives. The challenges set in Hulk's path can hardly be called challenges, for none can match the might of Hulk's fury. Hulk even demolished one of Thor's allies, Beta Ray Bill (who? the guy who looks like Thor), who was under the mind control of the evil dictator. After smashing the strongest person on the planet, there was no one who could possibly stand in his way. The last fight was a disappointing one because it reminded me of Superman fighting Lex Luthor in a robot armor. The outcome of the fight was obvious and the fight was too one-sided. Honestly, how can that guy think he can win versus the Hulk in a stupid armor? Another interesting thing is that Bruce (Hulk's alternate ego) never shows up in the movie. Hulk is also less savage in this movie because he is able to think and communicate. Anyway, this animated movie is definitely worth watching if you like the Marvel Universe.
